B1GP7
I am having some trouble with my newly bought Raptor H5. I had to install the windows 7 driver for usb in compability mode. When i tried using the headset with this, it was really low sound and quality, and it only worked for a few seconds until the mic couldnt hear anything from me. Then i tried plugging it in 3,5mm directly. Still trouble with my voice coming out as really low. They can barely hear me on TS/Skype etc. but can hear background noises and even key clicks crystal clear. Anyone got a fix or tips for this? Couldnt use the install CD that came with it cause the optical drive only takes full size disks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 17, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 17, 2013 Try the headset on a different system to see if the issue persists. If it does, we can replace it for you.
B1GP7
Tried it USB and 3,5mm on windows 7 home premium sony vaio laptop. Same problem. Voice comes out very low and unclear, background noise stands out very clear.
TaxCollector
This looks like the "Noise cancelling microphone" is cancelling out our voices instead of the background noise it's supposed to be cutting out. Same issue here, my voice is low and muffled, however i can hear a peice of paper being folded from across the room.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 31, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 31, 2013 Have you guys tried using the software? http://www.corsair.com/us/media/cms/drivers/Raptor-H5.zip
TaxCollector
Yes, tried using the software, still not functioning. I can plug in other mics I have and the three other USB mics i have work just fine. This headset no matter what always just picks up VERY low, even with mic boost and the mic volume set to 100%
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 3, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 3, 2013 Bring it back to the retailer to see if they can do an exchange for you. If they can't do so for any reason, put in a RMA request and give me your case number. I'll take care of it for you.

Got a RMA (6010196) and returned the headset. Just got the replacement headset. Mega disappointment - A 14$ Logitech cheapy works better than these 2 headsets. This is on 3 computers, WIN 7 Laptop, WIN 7, and WIN 8 and yet the Logitech works fine, Sennheiser PC230 worked fine until the cat ate through the cord. Not sending it back again b/c the postage to USA from here for 2 returns will have cost me more than the headset. Just will steer clear of Corsair and not recommend to anyone. Toasted
The shipping depends on your location. For example; if you live in Europe, you'll send your unit to the Netherlands instead of the US.
