CorerMaximus
Hello! I had RMAd my k60 around 3 months back due to the keys fading and the new one seems to be zapping me when I touch the metal part of it [especially the sides]. Its a continuous current and its highly annoying. Can anyone suggest and fixes? Thanks! :)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 14, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 14, 2013 Does it happen on any other system (or location)?
CorerMaximus
I moved the keyboard to my living room and it does not appear to be happening again. However, when I plug it into my 600Ts front IO, I got quite the zap. This has happened before as well when I opened up my case to install a fan. How can I stop this from happening?!? :(
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 15, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 15, 2013 Take your case and hook it up to the living room outlet. See if the short is caused by the USB port or if its coming from the outlet from poor grounding.
CorerMaximus
My K60 and rest of my computer have somehow managed to fix themselves without me moving or doing anything  I am no longer getting zapped, but still, its kind of strange. This stopped about 2 weeks after your suggestion. Either way, I'm glad its working out now :D:
CorerMaximus
I just came across something intresting- my computer and keyboard seemed to be zapping me only when my keyboard was connected to my 600T's front IO. This immediately stopped after I began using the motherboards back IO. I remember my 600Ts front IO going down in smokes when switching on my computer when I built it last year. Could this be the culprit?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 14, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 14, 2013 If the IO panel is shorting out Corer, it could be a possible cause. Put in a RMA request and we'll get you another IO panel.

CorerMaximus
Thanks so much! I really appreciate the help. I just got the fan controller today and will be installing it soon. :D I'm just a little confused as to how to install it as there were no instructions included :P Are there any good instructions on how to do so anywhere?
