alan sh
Just got my Voyager Air 1Tb drive. Nice product. However, I have one issue: I use the Android app to enable passthru. Enter my password for the external facing wifi network. Click on "Done" and am told to reconnect to the voyager air network. Which I do. Go back into the app and the passthru is still disabled. I got it to work once last night but as I connected it to my USB3 since then (which disables wifi) to upload more stuff, I cannot get it to connect. So, what's the arcane magic that I am missing in order to get this to work? thanks for any help Alan
alan sh
Update. It seems to work if I let my tablet connect to another network and then go back to the VA one. I presume I have to give the VA time to reboot and, by connecting to quickly, I am interrupting something. But this is just a guess. I have 2 wifi networks at home and I can only get it to connect to 1 of them (this could be a different issue) Alan
Yellowbeard
Check out the blog post on the Voyager Air Connectivity Guide. In some cases, enabling pass thru will trigger a reboot of the Voyager Air server which takes approximately 75 seconds.
alan sh
Yes, I did see that. But what I was finding was that, if you try and reconnect too early, then passthru wasn't enabled. If you leave it for a couple of minutes, it was. So, maybe a firmware upgrade to not allow connections until all parameters are set properly? regards Alan
