Naforce
hey again, i just wanna know how to use the old Driver 1.7 not the new drivers, with out System reset everytime i reboot the computer! is there anyway to fix this ? Make the driver offline from the internet, not being buggered by the windows update that tells the 1.7 drivers to upgrade everytime i reboot! im half deaf and the old drivers sounded better for me! using the equalizer with +8 on everything, that deaf am i. thanks - NaForce
Toasted
What's wrong with the V2000 1.7 driver? The Equalizer is not saving? Make sure you click the + button to save the EQ. Is Windows Update telling you to update the drivers for the headset? If so, Right click it and click "Hide Update"
Naforce
huh ?, no the windows update, Disables 1.7 drivers, so i cant even find it, but it is installed, i didnt like the new drivers, only 1.7. and hide update didnt work, its disable automatic.. i should use any driver old or new with out problems! that is the problem! Toasted
What do you mean disables the drivers? The software won't load? No sound coming from the headset? What does Windows Update do to disable the driver as in uninstalling it? If so, it shouldn't be doing that.
Naforce
no after reboot, it says "please plug in your usb-wireless" something like that, same as it does when u install the drivers, i have to system reset, to that time when it worked, and that is before i installed alot of new drivers, as Nvidias and some windows updates, i have to reinstall all those again, with out rebooting, just so i can use 1.7 driver,
Toasted
Does replugging the USB dongle help? Latest BIOS and chipset drivers? When you restart your computer, open up Device Manager after the reboot and see if there are any issues listed for the V2000 Headset.
Naforce
replugged the usb, nothing, bios and the chipset, is the latest, all happened after they release the new driver ?, so its not my computer, its Corsair that have done something! that i have to update.. Toasted
Windows Update shouldn't affect the headset even if it wanted to install the drivers. The 1.7 software doesn't have any updater or latest version checker so it also shouldn't affect the drivers as well. Back to post #5, The issue only started happening after you installed the NVIDIA drivers and some Windows updates? If so, Uninstall any NVIDIA Audio drivers and see if that helps. Disable your On-board Audio in the BIOS and uninstall the drivers from your computer and see if that also helps.
Naforce
yeah but the issue, never happened when i updated nvidia drivers before, the issue really happened when they released the new drivers for corsair, havent anyone had this problem ? Toasted
Have you tried an older version of the NVIDIA drivers? Some people have downgraded from the new one and did not encounter any problems.
Naforce
yes, i downgraded to a old one, tested a beta, no problems and nothing!
Toasted
It might be just the newer drivers.

Toasted
What i meant was the newer NVIDIA drivers may be causing the issue. If i understood your post.
Naforce
so u saying, that hdmi audio driver is messing with 1.7 driver not the new driver ? a completely other driver ?
Toasted
Open Device Manager>Right click "V2000 Headset>Properties>Details. Post the Driver version. Windows may have not fully uninstalled the V2.0.7 drivers for the headset.
peanutz94
so u saying, that hdmi audio driver is messing with 1.7 driver not the new driver ? a completely other driver ? Yes, that would be correct. Sounds as if the Nvidia HDMI drivers are conflicting with either your headset,on-board drivers or sound card drivers. basically your running three separate drivers...one for the headset, one for the GPU, and one for on board audio and if you have a separate sound card that would be four. . Chances are that is where the issue is. I'm not saying that the new headset drivers are not at fault, just that you need to narrow down which drivers you are actually using and either disable or uninstal the rest. Naforce
i unistalled nvidia hdmi, then i rebooted, installed 1.7 version, rebooted, then its the same again, looked into the devicemanager, saw that corsair had an "!" on the icon, and double clicked it, and it said it couldnt verify the digital signature for the driver, (code 52), driver version 7.0.1.55. Toasted
Try the instructions again, it should fix the Code 52 error. Note: the numbers e.g. OEMXX.inf and CAHS1x64.CAT are different. The .cat for the V2000 is symphony.cat which can be found here Vengeance2000SW_1_7_051512\U6302-120514-7.0.1.55(W7-ER-01)\SoftwareDriver\Driver Is the headset fully charged?
