gill2k
Anyone else's fan header on the pump unit break off easily (or if that's even the correct term for where you can plug fans in directly to the pump unit)? I was using one of them for the original fans it came with. I was trying to use the second fan header for a second set of fans for a push/pull config. The connector broke off and now I think it's inside the pump unit itself as it started making a grinding noise. Rebooted my PC and now PC won't even recognize it and unit won't turn on (no light on the pump unit). Can someone take a look at this for me? Ticket #6015527 Thanks in advance! rjbarker
Yep same thing here, only the little black header I was able to retrieve, didnt go right into the pump, I did try to thread it back onto the little tiny wires but no way!!! They certainly are fragile, about the only thing on this unti tha they should have Engineered a little more sturdy. So is this worthy of an RMA? I'm presently using the other fan header. Yes, ship everything that came with it. You'll receive a new sealed unit with all new hardware. And same goes to rjbarker...use the link on the left to request an RMA. gill2k
Well, I read the replies too late before shipping it off so this is the response I got: We are unable to accept your return as the product(s) returned to Corsair is not valid under the Corsair Warranty Policy. http://www.corsair.com/warranty/default.aspx . Reason for Refusal: Missing cooling fans :[pouts: The problem is in the connector itself on the pump where the cables plug in. I thought you wouldn't need the fans in the first place since you know... the fans are not broken. I thought I'd just get a replacement pump and rad unit. So now I gotta ship it again :(
