Stormcrow
Hiya, I have only had my H100i for about a week or so and the red LED seems to be dead. I was wondering if I need to RMA or is this fixable via future firmware updates? Very happy with my temps so far and I really like the cooler so far with the exception of the dead or unworking LED. Stormcrow
So if a fix is in the process and I to believe that this is a firmware issue and that I don't really need to RMA this in order to get it fixed? I am very happy with my temps and instillation and I dont want to RMA it unless I have too.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 9, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 9, 2013 No that will have to be replaced the firmware cannot fix it if the LED is dead. But if you can turn it on in software then yes that is a firmware issue.
Dave65
My white seems to have disappeared since last night, got all the sliders to the top and it stays red..
Stormcrow
The red was working when I got it originally but I updated the firmware and noticed that it wasnt working afterwards. When I use the sliders to try to get the LED to show solid red it goes black. I am returning it to the store where I purchased it but if the next one does the same thing I will 100% be looking for a full refund and getting a different cooling system. Dave65
I am wondering if my red is just stuck since I have all three colors except white..
Stormcrow
Well interestingly I booted my system and I noticed that the LED was odd so I went into CLink and played with the red slider. It did turn red for a few seconds but when I moved the slider some more it went out again. I don't think that the LED itself is dead but rather loose or not being correctly controlled via the software. Any suggestions?
Stormcrow
It seems that when I minimize the link software it somewhat works. I get the feeling that this is something to do with the software and not a hardware issue.
