whstephe
My motherboard is a Asus Rampage III Extreme. I would like to upgrade to faster memory and go to 24 GB. Presently I have 2 tri channel kits of CORSAIR DOMINATOR-GT 6GB (3 x 2GB) DDR3 2000. All 6 slots are populated with 2 GB Sticks. What do you recommend? Will Dominator Dual Channel CMD8GX3M2B2133C9 work if I populate all the slots? I would also like to know how to configure the memory in the system bios for good performance. peanutz94
If your going to add it to your existing two sets all bets are off. There is no way to give you a yes or no answer if it will work or not. Corsair does not suggest or support mixing sets, even if they are the same part number. I do see you already have two sets running nicely, but adding a third kit would be at your own risk. There is also no way to say how to configure the bios as each system will react differently. Thats to say if they even all work together. Your best bet is to just get a single matched 24 gig kit and replace what you have now. Then it would just be a matter of enabling the XMP profile. But with three unmatched sets there is just no way to to say for sure what to set it at..
