Corsair Force GT 240 Firmware Update to 5.05 from 1.3.3

Recommended Posts

I just d/l the corsair SSD toolbox and tried to use the firmware update feature to go from 1.3.3 to 5.05 and it keeps on giving me an failed message. so I tried using the Corsair Field Updater v1.1 and it does not find my ATA Corsair Force GT 240 when I do a scan for drives

I do have AHCI activated in my bios. using a shuttle i7 with windows 7 x64

any advise or suggestions would be helpful.

tks in advance

see below! (driver) Check again with standard-microsofts'.

device manager reports the correct driver is installed, and no clue as to where I would find the driver you suggested to replace it with

tks

ok, got standard ahci 1.0 serial ATA controller installed in place of the one in device manager, than use Field Updater to update firmware to 5.05 and Corsaire SSD Toolbox now reports that as well

only question I have left is do I need to change the standard back to the other driver that was in the system before, or will this version work fine

thanks for the help

the microsoft ahci driver works fine, but is slower than the Intel one.

So I would switch back!

appreciate the input, all is up and running w/o any prob to new rev and intel driver

love these drives
