edzar
last night i tried to update the firmware and it failed. however today is shows it has the new firmware M310. (I did reboots last night) Can it be that only parts of it got installed? is there a way to reinstall?
Yellowbeard
No need to reinstall. Please read the blog post info. It explains that some drives may require a power off or removal of the data and power cable to reset the drive and show the new firmware. Your update is fine. Yellowbeard
Sorry, I read that wrong. Yes, it appears to be a bug. Power off, remove the power and data cable from the SSD, then reapply and test.

Your update is fine. i read the blog and understand it need to be powerdrained etc. But like I said, I had an error wjhile installing it that said it the installation failed. So it makes me wonder what actually ended up getting installed, maybe just the gui text?
Yellowbeard
As I said above, your firmware update is fine. Once you remove and reapply power, the reset finishes the update procedure.

It is just not very comforting that when you have a supposedly successful update it says it failed.
