maxcellerate
Officially the Asus RIVE has only two USB 2.0 headers, which leaves me one header short for connecting a H100i, AX1200i and the front panel USB ports. But the OC key connector looks and sounds tantalizingly like a third USB 2.0 header. Has anyone been brave/rash/stupid enough to connect a H100i or AX1200i via this header? ::pirate::
AlphaBravo
If you need more USB 2.0 connectors on the motherboard, you could purchase one of these- http://www.frozencpu.com/products/15262/cab-630/FrozenCPUcom_20-Pin_Internal_Female_USB30_to_Internal_Male_USB20_Cable_Adapter_OCU44.html?id=B9mNwQu9&mv_pc=145 That is what I did, and it works fine. maxcellerate
Thanks very much for that AlphaBravo. My search for an adapter drew blank. Some post, somewhere, someone had made one but they didn't appear to be commercially available. If it turns out OC connector isn't usable for USB then at least an adapter is an option...::pirate::
iWingers
The Corsair Link port on the H100i can be used as a mini-Commander. So you can plug an AXi series PSU into it with the Corsair Link cable provided to save a USB port.
wemdee
I used this and it has worked very well. http://www.amazon.com/NZXT-IU01-Internal-Expansion-Black/dp/B0031ESKJA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1367947230&sr=8-1&keywords=nzxt+usb+hub It allowed me to move the link connections to a compartment under the drive bays. maxcellerate
iWingers, Perfect! Thank you. In the mean time I've heard back from Asus who say that I can't use the OC connector for usb as it's 'used to connect oc key devices'; I'm still not convinced as the oc key device seems to be a USB device. ::pirate:: Why aren't these things in the manual???
