slvegeta
Hi there, I've browsed around and haven't been able to find the right mounting bracket for the H50 AMD version. I see the .pdf manual has it: http://www.corsair.com/en/media/cms/manual/h50_qsg.pdf - the part I need is part B. Obviously I did not realize that when I bought the h50 off of Newegg that it only came with Intel supported brackets. I've seen people link to this http://www.corsair.com/us/parts/cooling-parts/cwch50-brktkit.html - but this isn't the bracket I need. I also don't see Corsair selling the part I need on their website. I would prefer to keep it and try to do a work around; what can I do? Thanks.
peanutz94
I've seen people link to this http://www.corsair.com/us/parts/cool...0-brktkit.html - but this isn't the bracket I need. I also don't see Corsair selling the part I need on their website. I would prefer to keep it and try to do a work around; what can I do? That is the correct mounting kit. It contains BOTH the AMD and Intel brackets. Your cooler should have come with one too. ISo if that bracket did not come i the box you can request an RMA for the cooler and then in the comments section let them know your cooler did not come with all the mounting brackets. You will probably receive an email stating to return the cooler....Ignore it! They will just send you the parts you need.
slvegeta
That's interesting. I guess I'm not sure how it works then; I don't see any corresponding holes where the screws would go in the motherboard. http://imgur.com/shBytId That's a picture of my motherboard. slvegeta
Here, let me link this page: http://us.msi.com/product/mb/K9A2-Platinum.html I don't see with given the brackets that were provided how I am supposed to install the cooler. Am I mistaken?
peanutz94
There should be two brackets. One an Intel and the other AMD. You should have received both. The kit I linked to does not show it either but is included. Is part "c" in your box? That would be the back plate you would use with the front bracket. There are two screws top and bottom of the socket. Those would be what you would use. You may have to remove the old mounting brackets from the stock cooler to use the H-
slvegeta
No, it seems with the H50 I bought, I only received Intel brackets. No part B or C in there. Any idea where I could get them?

DD2146
Sorry to hijack your thread, but I have recently run into a similar problem. I ordered the H50 from newegg (I think I thought it was the H55), and when I received it I realized it didn't have the mounting bracket compatible with AMD processors. I am no longer able to RMA (return) it to newegg as I waited to long to do it. Corsair doesn't seem to sell the mounting bracket kit anymore otherwise I would just order it. http://www.corsair.com/us/parts/cooling-parts/cwch50-brktkit.html If anyone has the AMD mounting parts for an H50 I'd be more than happy to buy it from you and pay for the shipping. For reference I am looking for the parts on the right in this image. http://img.techpowerup.org/110520/rings.jpg
peanutz94
DD2146 ,please read the thread contents. Your anser is already posted here. :) Corsair doesn't seem to sell the mounting bracket kit anymore otherwise I would just order it. http://www.corsair.com/us/parts/cool...0-brktkit.html This is indeed the part you need. It will have BOTH the intel and AMD brackets you require. The AMD brackets are just not pictured in the product page. Package Contents One (1) Intel 775/1156/1366 Bracket and back plate for Corsair Hydro Series™ H50 and H70 CPU Coolers One (1) AMD Socket AM2/AM3 Bracket and back plate for Hydro Series H50 and H70 Mounting hardware) Other Information Compatible with motherboards for: Intel Sockets 775, 1366 and 775; AMD Socket AM2 and AM3 http://www.corsair.com/us/parts/cooling-parts/cwch50-brktkit.html
DD2146
Yes I realize that is the part I need. They are currently out of stock. I mistakenly thought they stopped carrying it. Hopefully this is not the case. That is the reason I asked if anyone had one they would sell me. I'm sorry to offend you. I wasn't trying to make a pointless post/request. peanutz94
I'm sorry to offend you. I wasn't trying to make a pointless post/request. No, you didn't offend me at all! I didn't even see it that way. I just thought you were thinking that the AMD bracket didn't come in the kit because it wasn't pictured. You might even want to try calling CS and see if the parts dept has any they could send you. Let us know how you make out!
