PirateCoffee
Hi there! My first build consists of a i7 3770k & Corsair H80i with NZXT Phantom & GTX 680. Now, one thing I'm extremely scared about is mounting the fans, i don't want to take out the back fan of the Phantom, will the H80i be fine with the default NZXT fan & a corsair fan inside? I'm just worried it's going to fail or a fan's going to get jammed or something.
wytnyt
the only problem i see is maybe your case fan may inhibit cooling a bit as cooler fans have high static pressure to push air thru the radiator

You would still have to take the screws off the NZXT fan in order to put the H80i on it, which is pretty much taking the fan off...
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 6, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 6, 2013 Now, one thing I'm extremely scared about is mounting the fans, i don't want to take out the back fan of the Phantom, will the H80i be fine with the default NZXT fan & a corsair fan inside? If you really want to take advantage the cooler's full potential, I would suggest that you use the stock fans that came with the cooler. Because those fans are optimized to be mounted on a radiator. You'd simply get better results using the stock fans over your existing ones.
