augeas
Hello, I received delivery this morning of corsair h100i and sp120 quiet edition dual pack, fitted h100i on top of my corsair 200r and two of sp120 fitted on side panel. this is like a good few hours now struggling to get the two sp120 quiet edition fans to be actually quiet, that buzzing noise is killing my ears. I tried connecting them to motherboard directly, to h100i pump, and to psu corsair tx750 without much of a difference. when connected to h100i pump it reports they are on 1280 rpm speed and there is no way I can change that speed. 2 fans included with corsair 200r and 2 fans included with corsair h100i work perfect. I did try a lot but I could miss something, if anyone has any word of advise please help.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 6, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 6, 2013 These are the SP120 QE 3pin fans right? If so, you will not be able to control them via C Link. If you have tried connecting both on the MB and pump with out difference in noise, I say that you get it replaced. Contact your re seller and request an exchange or have it replaced via RMA process. jlhawn
I gave up on Corsair SP fans for trying too get them quiet and bought 2 Noctua fans and my ears are at peace. I really like all my other Corsair products though so no I am not dogging Corsair I just didn't have luck with their fans.
