TX 750 buzzing; replacement has same problem

Recently I noticed a strange quiet buzzing coming from my PSU along with the fan stalled. The buzzing comes and goes, sometimes not coming for hours and then sticking around for an hour or two. It sounds almost like when a plug is not fully in a socket and it starts making a sparking hiss. When it buzzes, the fan starts moving slightly but wont actually begin spinning. Since I had a TX 650 blow out a couple of months ago, I figured my 750 was going, too. I got a replacement and it seems the replacement is also doing this. So I'm not sure if this is just normal behavior for the TX series (seems like a few people had similar occurrences) or if this is an issue with the wiring in my house.

My dad told me that his TV in the other room started getting some kind of interference when I plugged the new psu in two days ago, but it has since stopped and hasn't returned. That could possibly be just an annoying coincidence, but it's still worth noting.

In that case it would be best to call them once they are open and let them know you have recently RMA'd a PSU and it has the same issue. They should get you a new one and also pick up the shipping costs as well. Just make sure to have your previous RMA handy.

Yeah I'll give their tech support a call today and see what they think. I just tested the old psu on another computer and it was buzzing still. I'm thinking either it's a benign thing or I'm going to have to invest in a UPS soon.
