chazcon
Long time Logitech G-series user. Need 18 macro keys for MMO gaming and have been thinking about the K90. Macro key profiles are one thing but does the K90 support the Lua script language like the Logitech G-series does?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 3, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 3, 2013 The macro software imports and exports profiles as a XML file.
chazcon
Right but XML isn't a programming language. I wonder if Lua is supported? Or some other language?
sharknice
Right but XML isn't a programming language. I wonder if Lua is supported? Or some other language? I switched from a Logitech G15 to the Corsair K90. The Corsair macro software isn't quite as good but it can do most of the things the Logitech software can do. The macros don't let you do any mouse events which is the only thing lacking as far as those go. Otherwise it does pretty much everything the Logitech software does except run the LUA scripts. It would be nice if they expanded the Vengeance software to do that but I wouldn't let it stop you from getting one. If you want to you can create executable scripts with third party software and have the G keys set to run them. That is essentially what the Logitech software does but wrapped up in a nice interface. The mechanical keys and other features are worth more than the native scripting abilities of the Logitech boards to me.
coolxal
I hope scripts are supported this year.
illumi241
I hope so, too. It was nice to control programs directly through a bridge/api with my logitech keyboard. Currently I have a cheap keyboard as a temporary replacement and I am searching a keyboard which supports scripting but the only one supporting scripting seem to be the logitech keyboards :/
