SnowBob
Hello everyone, I wasn't able to find any information about this on the web so I figured I would ask here. If I were to get the new Performance Edition PWM fans would they be able to be turned down to the speed that the Quest Edition fans run at? If that is possible would they sound the same at the same speeds? As far as I understand they are physically the same with different speed settings or are the motors so different that the Performance Edition fans could not be turned down as far as the Quest Edition? Also if anyone is able to tell me are there any plans to make AF200 fans? I want to replace the stock fan in the front of my 650D because right now it is by the far the largest source of noise in the case even on the lowest setting of the fan controller in the 650D. JR23
I pretty much had the same questions see this thread - http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=118065 I doubt there will ever be an AF200, I came to the conclusion 200mm fans are rubbish and I would expect to see Corsair drop them from all their cases in favour of multiple 120 mounts as they are much more appealing to the water coolers. And the air coolers for that matter. My temps are dramatically better going from a 600T to a 550D. JR Also just to note you will need a PWM controller, im guessing the controller in the 650D won't be very effective with the PWM fans.
SnowBob
I guess you're right about the 200 mm fans. Looks like that may already be the plan based off the 900D and 350D. I may have to turn to another manufacturer to replace the one 200 that I have now
