WebMaximus
Looking at the available modes for a fan device in CL where there are options like Fixed %, Fixed RPM, Custom etc there is one option I don't really understand how it's meant to work and what exactly it will do...the default mode. I have a H100i with 2 Corsair SP120 Performance Edition fans and if I choose default mode for them they will spin up to maximum speed like 2000 RPM but if I do the same for my GTX 680 fan it appears this will more let it control the speed of the fan itself according to the GPU temp which seems reasonable to me. What I don't understand is why the default mode for my SP120 fans makes them go to their maximum speed. If it's by design what is then the difference between the maximum speed mode and the default mode?
wytnyt
i think the default mode is like a set of protocols the system reverts to in the event of an anomaly to keep the system functioning.
Toasted
I think the Default Mode is basically the balanced profile.
