loserp3
Hello 1) Thanks for deleting my post yesterday. What rule did I not meet ? is it illegal to post one's case interior ? 2) Anyhow, Installed the h100u today (a new device). idle temps are at their 40c and that's with the Corsair AF120 high performance static pressure. Load speeds reach 85c (overclocked OC running at 4.6ghz @ 1.285v) What am I doing wrong ? this isn't brain science, why must everything not work properly for me. I installed the fans to exhaust air from the top of the case so it's pulling air from the case outside. 3) the AF 120 high performance static pressure fans max speed is 2000 RPM instead of the asserted 2300- why is that ? This is a screenshot of my insides again, I would appreciate it if this post won't be deleted this time and seriously responded to. http://i39.tinypic.com/24mztkm.jpg http://i42.tinypic.com/kejm05.jpg Thanks, Mike. Wired
1) Thanks for deleting my post yesterday. What rule did I not meet ? is it illegal to post one's case interior ?Yes, the case is so shecksy that it violated our "NO PR0N" rule :) But seriously, long story short we lost a couple of hours of posts yesterday. Yours was probably one of them.

jlhawn
Corsair had a crash of some kind yesterday cause I replied too your post about fan placement and the third time I tried to reply too you the forum went dead. any way remove the pump from your cpu and clean all the thermal paste off both the pump and cpu and install a better thermal paste, I have not had very good performance with pre-applied thermal paste, and not just from corsair but any brand that has pre-applied paste even air coolers with pre-applied paste don't perform good for me. f0d
one thing you diddnt mention is what your ambient air temperature is? also what fan profiles are you using? also is it an ivy bridge cpu? they get pretty hot to me those temps dont look too bad for an aio watercooler at 4.6ghz unless its 0-10 degrees C where you are then yeah its not too good also if it was me i wouldnt be pulling the air in from the case i would make it suck air from outside and blow air into the case but it probably wont make too much difference to put your temps into perspective i have a custom built watercooling system i7 3820@5ghz with a 360mm rad/d5 pump/ultra kaze 3000rpm fans/xspc raystorm block + more and im idling at 36-38 with ambient temps @ 20 degree C
babdi
Have you checked if your cooler is properly seated. I too use Ivy bridge 3770K OCed to 4.6 cooled by a H100. My idle stays around 36~38 with ambient temps 30~32. My H100 fans is set to exhaust
