Danzio
Hi, New to the forum, thought i may have joined on better terms but not really! As my system specs suggest i run/use/am happy with many corsair parts in my rig. Ram/PSU/Vengeance 1500 headset. so please don't assume i'm joining to troll or moan too much i just have an issue with the cooler is all! :) I'll be more specific. I've literally had this system 4 days. I bought from a UK based company called Scan who build great systems and i told them to be cooling my newest incarnation with a corsair h100i. I like the idea of the CL2 S/W to run/monitor everything and ofcourse the L.E.D's on the block were the selling point (shallow, i know.) So, why don't they work?! I've had the system running for less than 2 days continuously and they give out on me already (LED's that is) The cooler works really well, no complaints there, but i can't even change the led colour to suit my system's look and already custom colour scheme. I've read a good few gripes and moans/fixes or what might be fixes on here to no avail and was wondering if there is any work around to get the leds working properly again? Red and Blue work, green doesn't... what so ever! Suppose i could send back to the store to replace but it would be a hugh faff on as i use the system daily for work... I've tried changing usb ports for the link, updating firmware (although it came with 1.0.5) and other bits a pieces, but nothing... Anyone shed some light on this? (preferably green?!) Or am i doomed to scraping it off my newly overclocked CPU, leaving thermal mess everywhere? Slightly disappointed as i've always bought corsair and its never been a problem. I do hope this is a slight blip and the company continues to impress me in the future! (sorry for the essay, and hi everyone btw!) Dan
DWreck
Welcome! Yea, I can see your from the UK (Colour), lolz. Well I see that no one has replied so I will try to help you out. You aren't going to get it to work with FW. Your going to need to RMA it. You can get an Advanced RMA which is where you pay for it and they send you a New Unit then when you get it you send them the Old Unit and they give you your money back. So there will not be any down time. Hope this can get you up and running.
Danzio
Yes, the plagues of how different the English language actually is! haha! :p: I didn't even know about an advanced RMA process, thats good news. I suppose i'll have to do it and hope the new one is better. I do remember however that when i got the unit it did actually show green and not red, but now its the other way round.. But thanks for the info anyway, i'll be sure to make good use of it. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 3, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 3, 2013 It does sound like the LED is faulty on the pump. I'd assume that you have already tried messing around with LED slider under LED config panel. If so, and yet the LEDs are still not responding, then the unit will need to be replaced.
