connasse
I own CMZ16GX3M2A1866C10 and have it installed in my ASUS Sabertooth FX990 R2. It runs just fine at 1600 but will not post when pushed to 1866. Do you have any experience with this configuration and any fine tuning that may be required to get it to full speed? Thanks in advance. Si
peanutz94
It could be a few different things actually First make sure you have the latest BIOS. If not please flash to the latest stable version. From there manually set the memory to 1866mhz with the advertized timings but set the memory voltage to 1.6-1.65 and see if it will then post at 1866mhz. While the FX series CPU's are supposed to support 1866mhz memory they are extremely fineky with speeds above 1333mhz. Depending on the board you have(Sabertooth) you may be hitting certain limitations that AMD released http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=110429 If they still fail to post then it may worth running them through memtest one stick at a time to see if you can isolate a failing module. There is a link to memtest on the left side if you need it and let us know how you make out!
connasse
The voltage adjustment was the trick. The memory modules list 1.5v but 1.6v is the correct adjustment. Thanks for the advice.
