robbiq
Hey guys, I have a gs 800 that changes the LED color all by itself, apparently for no reason. I might be on the net and look over and it's white like I set it and a while later it will switch over to red or sometimes blue. It's not over heating, the fan spins up on occasions but not to much. and it changes only from time to time. Is this an rma issue or is there something I'm missing? Csolo
I've had this issue twice, I can't describe how irritated I am with Corsair... I've RMA'd it once and got a quieter fan, but the color still changes on me. I wish they would just tell us the reason behind it happening. Csolo
hope you have luck with your psu man, i ended up just throwing it in the trash and buying the nzxt hal90 v2 850watt. last corsair product i purchase.
robbiq
Don't get me wrong, the unit works fine. Only thing is it sometimes changes the LED color by itself. I'm actually happy with its performance. The fan hardly turns on at all so it is very quiet and when it does spin up to cool itself I can barely hear it. I have corsair fans, case, cpu cooler and psu. I am really happy with the quality of the products I have bought. It's just this little issue that annoys me.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 9, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 9, 2013 It sounds like the LED controller is starting to go bad. You will always have the option to get that replaced via RMA. But since the PSU is working as intended in terms of performance, that'd be totally up to you.
