Jpump
Just upgraded from a 3770k to 3930k last night and I'm seeing idle temperatures of 46c-49c. I'm overclocked to 4.5GHz with 1.34v. Ambient temperature is 86F right now, and it doesn't go lower until late night when I open the window and it'll get down to 77F, where I'll see idle temperatures of 40c-44c. I have 4 Gentle Typhoon AP15's in Push/Pull as intake on the radiator, 6 Gentle Typhoon AP15's as intake on the front of the case and 4 Gentle Typhoon AP15's set up as exhaust(2 on the back, 2 on the top.) Using MX4 TIM with a pea size drop. Might need to try a remount with a little more to account for the increased chip size, or it'll always be idling at this temperature because of my room's temperature. If anyone else has any ideas, I'd be interested in hearing them.

Bryman
ya **** idle temps...what are load temps? (using intelburntest, prime 95, or some other kind of program like that)
Jpump
74c-81c in Prime95 after a few minutes. Already remounted and idle temperatures were about the same as before.
Speed
1.34V is a little high.
Jpump
79F in my room right now, and idling at 39-43c. Ran Prime95 for about 20 minutes earlier this morning and it maxed out at 77c. Guess it's just the high ambient temperature in my room. Also lowered voltage to 1.3v and has been stable so far.
Bryman
Try 1.27 and see if that's stable if it is raise to 1.28 and keep it there... Even that much lower voltage can be a 2 or 3C difference And my processor at 1.3 volts 4.5 ghz running small fft on prime 95 is 105C and if I do 1.4 volts even just like 4ghz it shuts off computer after literally a second (overheats) :( still haven't reseated CPU When I'm gaming it only maxes out at 60C LOL but that's because it only runs between a volt to 1.2 volts and about 18% usage (technically about 35 without hyperthreading)
Jpump
Down to 1.27v and have been gaming for about 4 hours without any BSOD's. Max temp on the hottest core has been 66c, but it was 90F in my room at the time.
Speed
Drop it some more until it won't POST. Then slowly raise it until it will again, then raise it one more increment, perhaps two, for cushion. Try it at one first for a while. If it seems iffy, go up one more.
