robber789
Got my VA a couple of hours ago, and have had great fun playing with it. I would be using it mainly for playing videos on my travels and it has played everything I have thrown at it EXCEPT a .ts file recorded on my PVR. The file is 770MB and trying to open it brings up something like 'The file is too big to open. Download it and play it locally' So I d/l it - 10 mins for a SD video lasting an hour. I then went to the Android app (I'm using an Asus Transformer Prime) and looked in Local -Videos for the d/l file . No sign of it - I eventually found it in the Documents folder!!! Then I tried to open it - 'Error - file size is too large' The file plays fine on my PC from the VA over my network. So my question is - what's the largest file size the app can play. This could be a deal-breaker for me, because I like to take a bit of recorded TV away with me to keep myself entertained when away from home. The VA has the makings of a great little device - what are the plans for f/w upgrades, app upgrades, etc. please? And one small final point - the Quick Start guide mentions a User Guide is on the Corsair site somewhere, but I've looked and can't find it - can you post a link please? rob

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 6, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 6, 2013 What device are you trying to open it with and what player are you using? The Asus Transformer Prime? If so there is likely a CODEC that will have to be installed on the tablet for it to decode the Video recorded from your PVR. So my question is - what's the largest file size the app can play. This could be a deal-breaker for me, because I like to take a bit of recorded TV away with me to keep myself entertained when away from home. There is No limit set by the Voyager Air Device other than normal File system limitations. If you can find our what O.S. the Tablet is using and what APP were you trying to use to play the Video this may help to make some better suggestions?
