5150Joker
Just finished setting it up last night and it was working great. This morning it keeps making this intermittent coil noise. If i had to describe it, its this electrical sounding noise. I have 6 fans in my system (2 SP120, 2 AF120 + 2 C70 fans) and I can hear this thing over all of them! Bought it from NewEgg and just filed for an RMA but I want to now if this is a known issue and if it has been addressed by Corsair? I googled it and found several other posts + videos on youtube about it so I don't want to be stuck with a product that I'll have to RMA several times over this kind of noise. Has anyone here finally received one that didn't have it? BTW my old HX850 doesn't have this issue. Edit: Cell phone video I made: Thanks.

Has anyone here finally received one that didn't have it? BTW my old HX850 doesn't have this issue. Edit: Cell phone video I made: Thanks. My AX1200i suffers from the exact same issue as yours. I RMA'd it right away with Newegg and hope the next one won't be noisy. It's unacceptable for such an expensive PSU, it should quiet, not making an annoying high pitch noise. My previous PSU was a HX850 too, it was perfectly quiet and I never had any issue with it for years. I already RMA'd two H100i with Corsair and now the AX1200i with Newegg...within a month. I'm feel unlucky as hell so my hopes in getting a quiet PSU are very low now. There's a serious lack of quality control and Corsair should fix this mess ASAP for the sake of their customers. I guess this is what happens when you let the chinese manufacturing your products for cheap.
Ex0ticViru5
I received my AX1200i replacement... it still emits a continuous electrical high pitch noise but a faint one compared to first one...It's annoying and shouldn't be there or noticable. I can hear it over my case fans even with or without my side panel on. Could it be a bad batch or something ? What's wrong with the Corsair i series ? First it was my h100i and now the ax1200i... My other components are not to blame, I had a HX850 and a H100 and they were working perfectly just before I switched for the i series, then I started to have problems... I really wasn't expected this from your flagship products. I'm very desapointed because your products quality is not what it used to be. I feel like these products were rushed or poorly built by chinese people who don't care about their job or customer satisfaction. I'm a Corsair fan but not im starting to lose faith in your company because of the nightmare i'm living right now with your flawed products. Faithh07
My ax860i makes a buzzing noise too. I've done an RMA before for my ax860i and it still makes that noise, I'm kinda done with it because I'm not going to keep paying the shipping costs for another defective product. The PWM control should have been worked on more too, randomly the fan ramps agressively up to cool the PSU down.
