H100i Rattling noise and no red LED.

This started two days ago where I noticed that the LED on my H100i went out (I had it set to red), immediately I panicked but my temps were fine so I figured the pump is still running. I opened CorsairLink and messed with the led colors and it still works but no red LED. I figured it wasn't much of a problem but then I heard noises that sounded like clicking or rattling, I only run SSDs so It was unusual to me. I discovered it was the H100i making the noise. I am worried my unit may be defective. Can anyone please tell me whats going on and if I should RMA immediately?

What is the pump's rpm? very possible that the pump is not running within spec. How long have you had this cooler now?

 

If your red LED is not showing anymore, even after a FW update to 1.05, chances are, it is already faulty and will need replacement if you choose to but that's up to you. But I'd still play around with the LED slider and see if you can get it back up.

I am unsure of the pumps RPM I disconnected it and submitted an RMA. (Ticket #6014597)

 

I tried updating the firmware and still no success, The clicking noise from the pump turned into chirping noises. When I messed with the color sliders I was able to get every color but red(all variations) or white. In some attempts I could achieve a pinkish color but the led would just turn off and no longer work.
