DWreck
So with these new fans the only thing I don't get is why they still have a Quite Edition and A Performance Edition? If you can modify the Fan Speed via PWM then your just screwing yourself getting the Quite Edition Fans because you can just lower the Performance Edition Fans to be equal with the Quite Edition Fans but you cant raise the Quite Edition Fans to be equal to the Performance Edition Fans. Has anyone gotten the these new fans yet to confirm? I'm guessing that it will be like the Stock Fans where you can only go down to I think 600 RPM with the Performance Edition Fans, but if you have the Quite Edition Fans you can go even lower. That's all I can think of, but you can't even hear 600 RPM anyway so you don't need lower you need the ability to go higher when necessary, which you won't get with the Quite Edition Fans. But also I think they hit 1500 RMP anyway, and I don't think anyone would go over that because that's pretty loud. So unless my theory is incorrect you could pretty much buy either one? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 1, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 1, 2013 You may want to look at this on a different user perspective. Some people would prefer to have high rpm fans for various reasons; Overclocking, warm ambient temp, etc and some people would like to have a complete silent system where QE fans would be ideal due to less noise without sacrificing performance... choosing between the QE and PE is totally up to user. One will prefer version over the other and vice versa, we just have to provide alternatives to where they see it fit.

Yes, I can see that for the the old ones but the new ones are PWM fans, so just get the High Performance Edition and lower it to the Quite Edition if you want. You cant up the Quite Edition to the High Performance Edition but you can lower the High Performance Edition to the Quite Edition.

sinnedone
The sp120's are quieter at the same rpm as 120l's

Because They have the cool colored rings. I'm putting those ones where they can be seen and the stock ones on the other side which is covered so you cant see them.
