i would like to purchase CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10 but i am uncertain will it work properly with my HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC

My CPU is i7-3720QM

First i used Memory Finder on corsair.com, but there aren't many choices when it comes to dv7-7000 series.

Would you be so kind you look into this, so i can decide with certainty before i make a purchase for my laptop.

Kind regards

Dan

Since your system was a custom ordered item there are no product sheets available for your config. If you LT had a total memory capacity of 16gigs, then they SHOULD work. But with a custom config and no ifo on it there is always the off chance they wont.

So just be sure that where ever you purchase them will let you return them if they don't or contact HP and ask them if they are compatible or not.

At least the way I read it you should be able to use 2x8gig modules. But I would contact HP just to be sure. I just wouldn't want you to buy something that would not work beause of lack of information

Memory modules

(2, PC3, 12800, 1600-MHz):

8-GB memory module 670034-001

4-GB memory module 641369-001

2-GB memory module 652972-001

According to the information listed from HP those modules CMSX16GX3M2A1600C10 should be compatible with your system however, it is not listed in our memory finder so I would not be able to verify that. So I would make sure that who ever you purchase them through has a good return policy should they not work.

thanks ram guy, i will purchase it, ....i don't see any reason why it wouldn't work, since this intel chipset/MBO and CPU supports it by default, except if HP didn't do any downgrading on hardware level...i hope they didnt mess with it :)
