canthearu
First of all, put it on another computer, and use a program like HDDScan-3.3 to confirm that your drive is actually reporting read errors. If it is reporting read errors, You have 2 options I see: a) You can get it exchanged, either through your retailer, or via direct RMA to corsair. There is a link called RMA Request on the left bar of the forum website. b) You can attempt to secure erase it, update to the latest firmware, and see if the problems reoccur or return. There may simply be an error in the data allocation structures used to map your data to the NAND, which a secure erase will erase. (starting again from scratch) Furthermore, I strongly encourage you to edit your OP post and remove the Serial Number from it. You need to keep it private and only reveal it to corsair during the return process

canthearu
It's not a unique identifier, no reason not to post it (not that it's needed for troubleshooting or anything). Serial number certainly is a unique identifier ... that is why it is called a serial number.
Administrators Technobeard Posted April 25, 2013 Administrators Share Posted April 25, 2013 IIRC it's only unique to a batch. There is no need to keep it private. There is nothing that can be gained by someone if they have it.
canthearu
Fair enough :)
Administrators Technobeard Posted April 25, 2013 Administrators Share Posted April 25, 2013 Foliane, have you tried what canthearu recommended? I see that you posted the exact same thing on Facebook. Please note that no one from tech support posts on our Facebook account, so the Facebook team will only tell you to create a ticket.
