jedimyrmidon Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 Hello everyone, I bought the TX750W power supply 3 years ago and it has been functioning quite well over that time. I had noticed that the AC cable connection is quite loose at the back of the PSU where there is a substantial amount of wiggle room. In fact, if I touch the cable lightly and accidentally with my foot, my system will immediately shut off. Recently, I have been concerned that this looseness is getting worse in that: 1) I tried turning my system ON this morning, but my computer wouldn't boot. After re-seating/wiggling the cable in the back, I turned on my computer. 2) I let it go to sleep, and, when I returned, my computer had shut off again so I had to once again re-seat the cable in the back. 3) When I went to boot up my computer, everything loaded very slowly (laggy), got to my Windows desktop screen, tried opening Chrome and CPUID HardwareMonitor and 5min later my computer turned off again. I then readjusted the connection in the back again, and here I am typing this post (where everything appears to be running normally). Have loose cable connections for PSU's caused similar problems? And have they resulted in more serious problems down the road? This loose connection seems to become more and more sensitive as time goes on.

It shouldn't hurt anything as far as hardware goes, but always the risk of data coruption from improper shut downs. I would go ahead and have it RMA'd. Just use the link on the left to request an RMA.
