GTXJackBauer
I can't seem to find anywhere if the Corsair Link software is compatible with previous Windows OS. I mainly would like to know if this can be run on a Win XP 32bit or a Win Vista 64-bit? Thanks.
Toasted
It's compatible with Vista but not XP.
GTXJackBauer
Just picked up a H80i for my soon to be folding rig. I guess I'll have to go with Vista 64 laying around. Thanks for the info.

GTXJackBauer
Oh I know Vista is junk and wanted to do nothing with it but since its basically only a Folding rig I would've taken anything that would be compatible with Link Software. Well, apparently my brother sold his vista 64 version to get windows 7 64. I got Windows 7 64 bit system builders which is already in use and Windows XP 32 bit. :sigh!:
GTXJackBauer
Oh one more question. Does Link software work with Ubuntu 64-bit (Linux based)? (Crossed fingers)
Toasted
It's only compatible with Windows Vista, 7 and
wemdee
I would go with a Win 7 OEM disk. Win 7 Home Premium is $99. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&DEPA=0&Order=BESTMATCH&N=-1&isNodeId=1&Description=windows+7+oem&x=0&y=
GTXJackBauer
I already have a Windows 7 64-bit systems builder on this rig. Problem with OEMs is you can't use it on another rig in the future and I don't feel like spending more money now. Already bought a refurbished HD and a H80i for my Folding rig. Pointless to spend more on a rig I won't be personally using a lot. I might go with the Free Linux OS and just let the H80i control the fans, pump etc. Unfortunately that defeats the whole purpose of getting a H80i to begin with but I am left with no choice. Only if it was per-installed but if you get the Install DVD then you can install it on any system.
