livinlife5466
I just purchased a new Corsair SP2500 from Newegg and I cant get it to work. I'm not quite sure how to set it up to my computer. I was reading different forums and some people have set it up using the 3.5 aux cable. I did not have an aux cable in the box. Should I go buy one? I have the RCA cable as well. How do I set the speakers up to my computer? What cables do I use? I'm pretty smart when it comes to electronics but this has me super confused! Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!! Isnt there a 3.5mm cable inside the brown box?? Mine did, but you can get one in any pc store, or even a 3.5 to rca converter. But just get a 3.5mm cable. Should work just fine :)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 22, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 22, 2013 What are you connecting the SP2500 to? Is it the 3.5mm jack in the rear of the PC? If so, just use the 3.5mm cable from the unit to the (usually light green) jack on the PC. Then ensure you're using the correct playback device in Windows (right click speaker icon -> playback devices -> select your source).

I believe its on the back of my PC. There was no cable in the brown box. Already checked. So all I have to do is get a 3.5mm cable from like Radio Shack and plug it in the AUX1 on the sub to the AUX jack on the back of my PC? What is the RCA cable for? If I use just the AUX 3.5 cable, will the sound quality be good and crisp or should I use a different cable to get the best quality?
G50EED
Sorry you're missing the cable. I recommend you get a cable that looks like this: http://www.amazon.com/RiteAV-Feet-3-5mm-Stereo-Cable/dp/B000V0G2C4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1366658870&sr=8-2&keywords=3.5mm+to+stereo+rca+jacks+cable Connect the red and white RCA jacks to your SP2500 and connect the other end to the "Line Out" connector on your PC. livinlife5466
So I went and got a 3.5mm AUX cable to see if that would fix my problem. It did not work at all, so I unplugged everything and plugged in my old speaker system from Logitech. The speakers from Logitech work perfect. So the Corsair speakers DOA. I will send it back and see if I can get it replaced. Thanks for all your help everyone!
