HDredd
I got two H70s (me and my brother). After installation mine was making a definitely noticeable noise. I was looking for a solution and found the PSU thing. I tested his H70 on the same PSU and it was running perfectly fine (no noise). Should I return the thing to my local store, or is there a fix? EDIT: The temps are very good. Keeps a 8350 (clocked at 4.6GHZ) under 60C. The strange thing is that when the case is lying, the H70 is not making that HDD noise. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 29, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 29, 2013 Might be some air pockets trapped inside the unit. I would try laying down the case on its side and see if the noise goes away, if it does then keep it in that position for about an hr and stand it back up and see if the noise goes away. Also, try to gently tapping the pump and see if the noise goes away. It is not uncommon to have some noise if this is a new unit, let it break in for a couple of days and see if the noise goes away. HDredd
I had it for a week. Tried everything laying it and letting it run whole night, tapping the pump :sigh!: . Nothing helped so I RMA'ed it. The new pump is very quiet, though.
