retiredfromlife
Just wondering how people setup dual power supplies. I am considering a 900D when they become available and I am thinking of keeping my backup drives in the case. Thinking of using a second power supply just to power the drives so I do not have to have them running all the time. I do not want to have to plug in the power lead just to jump start it. Do any modular power supplies have a plug/socket I could plug into the power supply to jump start it to power the drives without using the lead? This would save a lot of space. Or is there another way of doing it. Regards.
peanutz94
Something like this is what is commonly used. There are many vendors who make them but this is one to give you an idea. http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1698/
retiredfromlife
Thanks for the link. I have had a look at a few online stores, and have not seen one yet. I may have to find a store overseas that ships to Australia. Regards MarkL

johnfo
I just come across this thread, although it's been a while since last post. Anyway, I recently found this on the web www.connectpsu.com to address the same dual psu issue on my GPU render farm i use with blender3d and its a nice piece of equipment.
