Hallstrom
My computer had 2x4gb ram, 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 Memory Kit (CMZ8GX3M2A1866C9) I bought another identical memory kit and added it, so I now have 4x4gb. But my computer says it's still just 8gb. What's the problem? I tried switching places with the original ones, but it's still only 8gb. Hallstrom
Next day, it's back to 8gb :( Any other suggestions?
peanutz94
Test each stick individually to be sure you don't have a failing module. But it's not a good idea to use multiple kits, which could actually be the whole of the problem. You could try upping the DIMM voltage to 1.6v and see if that helps. And even possibly pull the CPU and check the sockets for bent pins.
