How about doing a new 650D based on the 900D ?

Do Corsair have any plans to replace the 650D with a new all singing and dancing new design ? If you did a 650D that has the same look as the 900D then i'd be at the front of the cue for one, the 900D is a great design, its just its too large for me personally as i use air cooling and it would be a bit overkill.

Sorry TJT I started the queue yesterday and i'm at the front :D:

I think if you want to poke Corsair this is the wrong forum...

Mini ITX could take a similar timeframe, but I'm not telling you when we started on that.

My first inclination was that nobody was building a really cool Micro ATX last year, and there were some REALLY nice Micro ATX boards like the ROG Gene boards.

Asus should do an ROG Mini ITX, in my opinion.

Just saying, and in advance sorry I got your thread closed, I share your anticipation ;):

Hopefully they won't wait too long with the announcement. I'll be able to wait a bit longer (will buy the case as the last part), but if i've got everything else i'll have to get a new one...

The 900D is way to big, the 350D way to small, the size of the 650D would be right, but i'd have to rework/mod a big part of it. So i'm sitting on the fence here... I'd prefer a case from Corsair, but if ist not available (or at least announced), i'll go for another brand which requires much less work.

Same here i was actually home for the first round of 900d had it in my cart but then figured it was a little to big for my needs. Corsair George made the comment they(Corsair are listening)

PLEASE make a 900d in a tower or something slightly bigger than a mid tower :)

Super Tower too big for us not using multiple rads

So should we hope for one just a little bit bigger or just a little bit smaller than a 650D? Or two different ones?

If there was one somewhere between a 550D and an 800D I would be on board ;):

(Yey the thread didn't get closed! Continue the hype and speculation...)

@JR23

I wouldn't mind having one a bit bigger than the 650D.

The Arc i'm considering at the moment offers the option to install a 240 rad (top), a 280 rad (front), and two additional 120 rads (bottom and rear).

The big drawback is that it only got two 5,25" bays, but i need three bays - two might work, but then i've got to find a way to install a slim optical drive. Plus i got to reposition the power and reset button to the front and get rid of the rest (my keyboard got USB and audio ports).

Ok so a 250D, 350D, 600D, 700D, 850D and 900D should just about cover every eventuality :D:

I can't help thinking some of them will be held off for for the next generation of obsidians. Also I don't personally see the need for a case inbetween the 650 and 900. A well laid out 650 should accommodate the majority without putting anyone off because its 'too' big. A 700 would be too small for the previous 800 customers so perhaps there will be another 800 next time around.

They should bring out a 1200D and then anyone fearful the 900D might be too big would be re-assured that its actually quite compact :D:

What the hell is that even supposed to mean?

I think he means he is upset because the 900D is not practical for the mainstream 'enthusiast' and only of any point to the super high end quad GPU $10k builders. But that is the way with flagship products, its just there as a statement to head the range. Of course there is a demand for it too. I must admit it does seem odd they have missed the biggest gap in the middle of the market by introducing a 900 and a 350 like that just about everyone can't quite live with either. I suppose Corsair have too many cases in the Mid-ATX size as it is.

You can't really complain about it, it's like saying the GTX Titan annoys me because its so good and expensive. It does but i'm glad it exists.

The 900D and 350D are absolutely gorgeous cases, but for the vast majority of people who build their own pc's they're are too big and too small. Please make an updated 650D with similar styling as these cases. I like my 600t but its kind of dated and would love to update it with one of these but I need an ATX mid tower.

I'm using the 300R now and I would really like a mid tower case styled after the 900D/350D. Just make sure it can support tri-SLI.

I think the reason why some of us would like to see a 650D Mark II, is because the 650D was a good case but with poorly thought out fan mounting.

If we had similar front mounting scheme (2x120 or 2x140mm) as the other cases instead of the 200mm fan, it would be a huge winner. I think corsair know that the 200mm fans was the biggest complaint most people had with the 650D

I'm in the market for another Corsair case for my daughter. I would buy a 650D if it had the new fan mounting, but I will get her a 350D instead as the 900D is too big for her and the 350D has the fan mounts I want as well as the ability for water cooling.

Thanks Corsair for bringing out this case. You listen to your users, and in return we enjoy using your cases.

I would seriously instabuy one with the following fixes...

replace the front 200mm with dual 120/140 with room for a rad mount (not just corsair H series) same goes for the top offcorse not just the H series, but other rads would be nice too.

backpanel mounting of 2 ssd's

Internal USB3

These are the changes a new 650D needs in my opinion.

1. More cable management space with more hooks on the backplate to thread cable ties through especially more over on the right hand side as you look at the rear.

2. As someone suggested above, a 2 x 140mm fan option would be good as well as a 200mm option.

3. The 650D lets a lot of dust in, main reasons why from what ive seen are as follows. Corsair need to supply some rubber grommets to black the holes on the rear as their are far too many open gaps where dust can get in, make the pcie vents finer, ive changed mine to a finer type as the corsair ones let in too much dust.

4. The 5.25 optical drive bays and the mech need to be looked at, the current case won't accept quite a lot of 5.25 items like 3.25 to 5.25 adapters etc.

5. Do away with that honeycomb grill that sits behind the front fan, it serves no purpose, all it does is create noise with the air being sucked through the holes.

6. I don't think anyone uses firewire anymore, thats one less front port and cable that you don't need, i don't find the hotswap bay on the front is of much use really.

Their are probably a couple of more minor niggles but thats all i can think of right now.

about the only complaint i see is i wish it had come with a top filter

Trust me George does that quite often about products we cannot talk about. So while we are sorry we cannot speak about unreleased products.

I would suggest bugging George on those other forums there is nothing I can do about that. But on this forum the rules are straight forward and will be enforced strictly.

If George cant follow them I will ban him to LOL

hahaha , yeah ban him , perhaps he forgot to sign the NDA's :D: .

On the flip side now i've seen it i no likey , gonna wait for Computex to show all but still looks like i'll downsize from my 800d ( 900d is just TOO big , seriously i've seen smaller houses :p: ) and go with a 350d with Asus latest Gene board when its available , not much call for big huge wc loops with todays hardware except for show and e-peen .
