danwest
hello, i'm building a gaming system with the asrock FM2A75 Pro4-M motherboard and AMD A10-5800K APU processor. i'd like to have about 8GB of RAM. i checked the memory finder on corsair's website but the asrock FM2A75 Pro4-M isn't listed. i'd like some fast ram because i heard the APU performs well with really fast ram at or above 1866. can someone suggest compatible ram part number for my MOBO & CPU combination? thanks. p.s, i want to run windows 7 pro 64bit without virtual memory but i don't want to get "out of memory" errors. is 8GB good enough? also, i heard that if you use 4 ram sticks with this board instead of 2, the memory speed gets reduced. peanutz94
i heard the APU performs well with really fast ram at or above 1866 They can! However, there are some limitations to keep in mind with those CPU's. http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=110429 i want to run windows 7 pro 64bit without virtual memory but i don't want to get "out of memory" errors. is 8GB good enough? also, i heard that if you use 4 ram sticks with this board instead of 2, the memory speed gets reduced. For a gaming machine 8 gig's would be enough. But 16 certainly wouldn't hurt. On the subject of 2 or four modules....that would be covered under that link I posted for you on memory limitations.
