Corsair 300R it this a good rig?

Hi all:):

I am new to this forum and my Corsair 300R case.

The reason i came here is because i have a heat problem in my system so i need some help and i was woundering if this fan setup i have i plan for using is a good rig.

Well here i go:

2 front fans with filter/harddrive: Scythe Gentle Typhoon120mm Ap-15

Side panel :2x Corsair AF140 Quiet Edition 140mm 1150 RPM

Replacing H80 fans: Scythe Gentle Typhoon120mm Ap-15

Top: Corsair Air Series SP120 High Performance Edition High Static Pressure

On the top of my case i can only fit a 120 mm fan, BR drive and H80 blocking.

Fan controller: Fractal Design Adjust 108

Grapic card: Asus gtx Titan.

Is it smart or dumb to have a SP120 as a top fan?

What is best on the side panel exhaust or intake fans?

My pc is a gaming pc but i am trying to have a rather low noice system so that i do not wake up everyone in the house when i boot my computer

I am happy for all answers/tips i get.

Regards Dr.H

Some photos would help, but I don't see why you'd need SP fans for the case's top. You don't need pressure there so airflow optimized fan would be best suited.

As for the side panel fan, I'd put an intake there, to try to sustaine a positive air presure in the case.

Cheers :)

Ahh i see, so the best solution on the top of the case would be Corsair AF120 High Performance?

I post some photos for the situation.

Yup, put a nice AF up there blowing air out, and a same one on the side panel, blowing air in. Give the whole rig a nice cleaning with a blower for the dust to be removed, and you should be fine :)

Thank you very much for good help, just two last questions i am curious about.

On the side panel:

1:1 fan or 2 fans?

2: AF 120 high Preform or AF 140?

It can hold 2 fans if it help the situastion.

Best regards Dr.H

Well, filling the one fan grill which is closer to the card's fan would do the trick, so I'd say one is enough.

I'd go for the quiet one (low rpm), in the bigger dimension my case would support (140mm). You have some nice gear that deserves to be relativly quiet while gaming :)

Would i make a bad situation if i did put 2 140 or is just waste of money?

You'd certainly be putting more air in there - which is not a bad idea for the parts, but don't expect the second fan to contribute hugely in temprature drop.

It certainly can't harm though (except for the added dust) and if two fans seems more aesthetically "balanced" to you, go ahead ;)

I have one last thing that came through my head, on the photo of the back of my case a couple or so of the pcie slot covers is removed wil this be a problem for the air flow in the case?

It'll let in a lot of dust if don't have positive air pressure in your case. I tape off all of the extraneous holes that are in cases, whether I have positive pressure or not, mostly because I want air that comes into the case to be coming through a filter.
