eshbop
http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=115647 See post #15 I got an email directing me to your Tech Support messaging client about 2 weeks ago. Messaged them back, still nothing. I just want this over and done with, I haven't had a built system for near 2 months now. Thanks
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 11, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 11, 2013 It would be best to call our customer service by phone as it looks like the case has been closed and a PSU was shipped to you on the 21st. You can call the toll free number listed under contact on the main site.
eshbop
Sorry for the double post. Yes, I've received it but it has the same problem only worse. See: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showpost.php?p=642840&postcount=11 Shortly after you replied: http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showpost.php?p=643551&postcount=12 A couple days (3/28) later I got an email directing me to your online tech support message system. "I saw your post and sorry to hear that. You have done the proper steps to make sure that it was indeed the PSU causing the noise. I will let customer service know that you would prefer the AX760 non i version and we'll go from there. Thanks" But I've heard nothing since. This is what my inquiry is about. So far I've sent back 2 AX760s, was sent a AX760i, it's worse than the 2 previous units. I'm requesting a AX760 as a return (I didn't realise i was being sent a AX760i as a replacement, had I known I would of requested otherwise) I'll live with it if the noise is the same as the 1st two + some people seem to think it goes away after a couple months use. Thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 12, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 12, 2013 From what you described the issue may not be the PSU, please look in the BIOS under power management for a setting called ERP or EUP and change it and see if that stops that wine. eshbop
Did as you suggested on 3 systems, the noise is the same. I can hear it when using the self test feature as well, which is obviously takes away motherboard power saving features as a possible cause. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 22, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 22, 2013 I have sent a message to our customer service to collect these PSU and send you another model and if you have the same issue with the new PSU then you have some other issue in your side like a bad ground or something that may be causing this.
