vando
I'm at my wits end. I have the Commander, The cooling Unit & The LED unti installed. Along with the Corsair H100i. The Link software shows the H100i fine and the led control works fine. but the system fans (5) do NOT appear on the Software, hence no fan control (The fans do however run while connected to the cooling unit, i suspect that only because the power is on to the cooling unit (molex). When I go to the List of hardware for Firmware updates..the Corsair Link Commander is not there. Can anyone help? I have even replaced the Cooling Unit. vando
Have installed the Commander, Cooling & Lighting unit. MB is a Gigabyte Z77X-UP7 with Windows 8 pro 64 bit. The Commander does NOT recognise my systems fans but does see the GPY, CPU & my Corsair H100i. I am running the latest software.. Have tried numerous ideas.. the Flashing of FW comes up with Commander fails to reset.. The Software does NOT see the commander unit..but it appears to be working on other items Can change GPU Fan settings I was asked to try making sure that USB drivers are in..they appear in control panel as an Uninstallable option..but NOWHERE in the CORSAIR folder is there any reference to the USB drivers or dongle. Getting help from Corsair has NOT been productive..anyone have any ideas?

vando
Can anyone tell me why it is damn difficult to get Corsair to reply to a product problem??????????? In all the years of building PC (Early 80's} I have had to deal with numerous PC Companies. This is the first one that has not even had the common courtesy to reply to my 3 contacts regarding the NO FANS show in my Link Software. It appears I will have to consider no longer using corsair products in the builds for my customers.
vando
Hey guys & Gals..If you are considering buying the Corsair Link Kits and you want some support from Corsair, DO NOT hold your breath. I am still waiting for Support to even acknowledge my request for help. If anyone here can shed light on why the Cooling Unit & Lighting Unit do NOT appear in devices on Link? I have tried everything I can think of. Obviously it's something too difficult for Corsair to solve. System: Gigabyte Z77X-UP7, Windows 8 Pro. YES...I have installed the latest version of the Link software, when I try to update the FW I get Commander will NOT reset.. HELP ANYONE?
wemdee
It might be the shipping version of the FW. You will have to install the old link software 1.x and update the firmware from there. After that, remove/reboot/install the current version again.

Toasted
RAM GUY had replied and asked you for a screenshot of the devices tab under options and a few question. Without that kind of information its nearly impossible to help you. Please post a screen shot of the devices under options and expand the Commander and the H series cooler so we can see the firm ware version and how are they connected? Do you have the cooler connected to the commander or are you using two USB ports on the MB?

vando
Hi, I have the cooler connected to the commander, the commander is connected to the MB USB 2.0 port. The problem with firmware..when I go to DEVICES..neither the commander, cooling unit or the lighting modules show up. So therefore I can not update the fW.. When I selct update fW from the Devices Windows and select COMMANDER it Just says it cant reset the unit. Im using the current software for Corsair Link and when I try to update firmware I am trying to update to 2.0.6.s.19 AGAIN..the units do NOT appear on the Devices window..the Video card & my H100i as well as the CPU are in the system. Although I can NOT change fan speed on the H100i but can on the GPU..
