vuxdu
I have a ASUS p8p67 Pro motherboard with the CMX32GX3M4A1600C11 when I try to run XMP the computer fails to boot. With 4 sticks of ram at 1066 CAS 8 (Mem OK! values) the computers boots with no problems. Tried 32gb 1066 CAS 11, and it wont boot. Tried 32gb 1333 CAS 11, and it does not work. I was able to run XMP with 16gb but not 32gb. Any ideas?
peanutz94
First make sure you have the latest BIOS for your board if you haven't already. Then make sure to clear your CMOS , enable XMP , but manually set the DIMM voltage to 1.55 or 1.6v if you need to go that far and see if it is any better. vuxdu
Peanutz94, Thanks for responding. I have the latest bios and I tried doing what you told me it still does the same thing. I have even tried 1.65 but still no go. The believe the issue is the motherboard, a few weeks ago I have tried to run 4 sticks(not this ram) and it was only able to run at 1066. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 8, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 8, 2013 Have you tested each stick by itself in Memtest? You'll want to test each of them through 3 passes at the default SPD (1333mhz). This will help isolate if its a motherboard or memory issue.
