Aftermarket fan question for H100

Are there any aftermarket fans that work with the H100 block exactly like the stock fans do? (changing the speed with the profile ie not just spinning at one speed all the time ) I would a little less noise.. I do not want to control the fans on the MB and I dont want to use a Corsair Link either. I have heard that Cougars and Gentle Typhoons are two options but no one seems to be able to verify that they work in the same manner as the stock fans do with the block on the H100. Do the new Corsair fans work ? I have been told by others ( not on this forum ) that they do not work in the same manner as the stock fans.

Thank you in advance..

We have not tested any of the third party fans, so I cannot really answer your question but one thing that we are improving on is, compatibility with other fans, most likely PWM fans. At the moment, I do not know a fan out there that will works exactly the same like the stock fans.

Cougar CF-V12HPB Vortex fans work in as far as they can be controlled by the H100i and throttle like they're supposed to BUT both of mine, when plugged into the H100i, emit a whine or grinding noise (obviously not mechanical but electrical in nature). Both fans are near silent when plugged into the MB header. So we can add that to the list of currently unsupported fans.
