voked
After a few hours of running my PC, the M60 just turns off. As though it just isn't plugged in. I've tried different USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports. It just doesn't get detected as plugged in. It can't be found on the device manager (using mouse keys). The only fix I've found is resetting the computer, then it works as normal. The drivers say they're up to date. The mouse is about 4 months old now, after I got my first replaced due to the common mouse wheel problem. Oh well. At least the K60 isn't giving me any problems. :D
Toasted
Have you tried it on another computer? Does it keep turning off?
voked
Okay, I've isolated the issue... it seems to be affected by the headset (Vengeance 7.1 2000s), as when the headset power was glitching (thanks to micro-USB) as it does quite regularly, the mouse just died like it has the times before. Well, I'm just glad the headset's issues aren't turning off my other Corsair peripherals as well, like the keyboard, or worse, the RAM, or cooling, or PSU, or solid state. That'd be a bit more problematic. Oh, and this isn't so much me complaining, I'm more just giving feedback. So, maybe, you can make more stable products in the future. I don't want a replacement. It's okay.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 17, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 17, 2013 Is it a bad cable causing the issue Voked from the V2000? If it is, we can always send you a new cable. However, the amperage draw on the cable should not be enough to cause issues with other USB devices.
voked
Hi. It isn't the power cable. When I got my mouse replaced, I got a new cable for the headset as well. The problem occurs when the cable is moved slightly in the socket, it does beeping/static noises, sometimes the whole headset turns off. Which is odd, since it is technically charged enough to stay on without the power source being plugged in... Anyway, it just did it again, and the mouse turned off. The headset also randomly stops giving audio for about 2 seconds a few times every hour or so (it's random, not at a certain interval). It doesn't sound too bad, but it is very frustrating. I would say that issue's related to the main problem. I'm reinstalling the latest mouse driver at the moment. http://puu.sh/2CbCS As you can see, despite unplugging and plugging into a different USB port multiple times, it still can't detect it. The only thing I can do is restart the computer. I would have done that by now, but I'm doing something important so I'm trying to get around the problem with a different mouse. I agree, I don't think it's drawing too much power to cut off the mouse, since I have an 800 watt PSU... so I'm completely lost.
Toasted
Latest BIOS and chipset drivers? Go to Device Manager and see if you can find any devices with errors and if you can see the M60.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 18, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 18, 2013 Try the headset and mouse combination in a different PC too. If it happens on that machine as well, that will verify the headset/mouse being a problem.
voked
It started playing up again just now, so I plugged it into my laptop (cable and USB antenna thing for the wireless) and it continued to do it. I had to 'turn it on' about three times by holding in the power button on the headset to get sound output, then about 15 seconds later I lost sound and it just started beeping quietly as the cable moved slightly in the socket... the beeping is the same kind as you hear when the headset it turned on initially, but this time it just keeps doing it until I hold the power button again to 'turn it back on'. And 15 seconds later it would repeat and I would lose audio and get the beeping noise again. It's been doing this a lot lately. Also, last night I could hear a very high pitch noise (if I was older, I wouldn't have heard it, but that's irrelevant :D) going on and off when I went to bed, and I noticed it was beeping in sync with the orange blinking light that indicates the headset is charging. So I had to unplug the cable... Also, I've noticed (after hearing it from my laptop and unmuting system sounds on my desktop) moving the cable slightly in the socket on my laptop makes Windows 7 do the 'device connected' and 'device disconnected' noise, the same one it does when you plug in a USB drive, you know. But this is only in the 15 seconds of audio I get (that I referred to earlier) before it goes back to the beeping noise. So from there, I think that confirms it is the headset's issue. Not the cable's or the PC's. Oh, and thanks for the quality of the customer support, it's very impressive ;D

voked
Ticket number is 6009207 I had an Advance Replacement for my M60 and that went smooth, if I could get another Advance Replacement for my headset, that'd be great, but I understand it is a more expensive unit. aslima79
Hello Ram Guy. I am Brazilian, and I have a doubt. Just bought a M60 and because of the difficulty to make macro to FPS had to create some Profiles. Staying changing the profile several times may damage the internal memory of the mouse? it is warranted in this regard?
Toasted
It hasn't happened before and shouldn't, but if there is a problem with the mouse not saving profiles, yes they can replace it.

voked
Okay guys, during my frustration of the mouse glitching during one particular game (as ranted in my other thread), I went into the M60 software and in Manage Performance tab and hit 2ms in the Report Rate Setting... the mouse instantly turned off as described in this thread. So that's a thing. The issue can be recreated. Not sure what else in the software would kill the mouse, as I haven't restarted my system to get the chance to test it again, but yeah. I guess it's not the headset's fault it does this... which I guess is a bad thing.
