ManMountain
Good evening I purchased an H80i to replace my H60 and stupidly failed to allign the radiator correctly, twice overscrewed and punctured the radiator grill. The unit still functions but as two of the screws are threaded now, I wasn't happy leaving it installed and reverted to my H60. I realise it was completely my mistake but is there any possibility of a replacement unit, if not it was a costly lesson learned :)
ManMountain
I realise this is a duplicate post but I created my original thread in the wrong section ( http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=117314 ) I purchased an H80i to replace my H60 and I stupidly failed to align the radiator correctly, twice overscrewed and punctured the radiator grill. The unit still functions but as two of the radiator screwholes are now threaded, I wasn't happy leaving it installed and reverted to my trusty H60. I realise it was completely my mistake but is there any possibility of a replacement unit, if not it was a costly lesson learned :sigh!:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 8, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 8, 2013 As long as the holes are not striped out and the damage is just to the fins there is no issue using the unit. But if the mount holes are striped then please use the link on the let and request an RMA and we can replace it.
ManMountain
Thanks for the reply RAM GUY. I am unable to mount the cooler to my chasis as the mounting holes are indeed stripped, I have submitted a ticket ( 6003225 ). The fact that the unit will be replaced is awesome :)

ManMountain
I'm really not having much luck, in anticipation of returning the unit, I also have noticed that two of the 1155/1156 standoff screws are slightly bent, which may have happened when I removed the H80i. I only purchased this a few days ago so have all the packaging but I don't know if when customer support eventually gets in touch with me, am I to return everything boxed and receive a full replacement or to just return the damaged parts? Which would be the radiator as well as the standoff screws. I look forward to hearing from customer support in the next few days :)

ManMountain
I've received an email confirming a Standard Replacement RMA. What do you mean by a call tag concerning shipping?

ManMountain
I had thought a call tag meant that either a delivery driver collected the package or I need only drop the package off at any specified depot/shop of a particular parcel company. If that's the case, that's a double awesome service. As it stands just now, the cooler is to be sent all the way to: Corsair BV Attn: Returns Department Veluwezoom 50, 1327 AH Almere, The Netherlands As I am in the UK, I will have to price the cost of me sending this H80i back as it is not a light parcel to post. Thanks for escalating this :)
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 11, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 11, 2013 NO please give it a few days before you send that off I am not sure it will be a call tag or a pre paid shipping label but they should email you in the next 24 hours or so.
