TheOnlyDoor
So I have my new. H80i up and running and am doing prime 95 and benchmarks. Corsair link shows my CPU temps 15-20 degrees lower than both speed fan and HW monitor do. Speedfan and HW monitor show identical temps for each other. So which temps are accurate? Or rather how acurate is the CorsairLink2 CPU temp monitor and what exactly is it showing..ie core temps, socket, etc?
Speed
Leave the other two not running and try Open Hardware Monitor. CL2 uses that as part of its monitoring system, so there would be less chance of a conflict with two monitors polling the chip at the same time. TheOnlyDoor
Leave the other two not running and try Open Hardware Monitor. CL2 uses that as part of its monitoring system, so there would be less chance of a conflict with two monitors polling the chip at the same time. HW monitor shows idle CPU temp at 32c (open without speedfan being open) and shows the 8350 "package" temp at 15c...which is right around what CL2 is showing (CL2 cpu temp is jumping around 14-20c) So I'm guessing the CL2 temp is the same as the HWmonitor "package" temp. So my next question then......what is the package temp and which should I be paying attention to?
Speed
Not talking about HW Monitor. Open Hardware Monitor is similar but they're two different applications. IIRC, CL2 takes an average of the individual cores but I can't put my finger on where I read that.

HW monitor would be the same http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=116797
