antitauon
Hey everyone, I'm planning on building a new rig, including an H60 (2nd edition) watercooler and an Obsidian 550D case. Now, I want the radiator to be supplied with fresh and cool air, i.e. as an air intake or at least close to an intake, certainly not as an exhaust. But the rear fan mount isn't an option for me since - AFAIK - it lacks a dust filter, and I'd really like to minimize dust buildup. Long story short, for which fan mounts is the H60's tubing long enough in an Obsidian 550D chassis? Could I mount the radiator in the front, with the upper HDD cage removed? Note that I'd like to avoid mounting it in the top, I'd prefer to leave the sound-damping cover there. Cheers!

You can always get a 120mm filter mesh and add it to the case.

By now I've found another chassis where front-mounted installation is definitely possible, and I've decided to go for the H100i instead of the H60. I think Corsair should consider this when they design their next 550D-esque case... It's just so much better for silence & airflow than rear or top.
