JayGB1982
So I have a H100i in my rig on the CPU and am considering getting a H80i for the GPU Is this possible? I also have the AX860i PSU. Not got the complete Link Kit in terms of Commander Node etc... Can I daisy chain the Hydro Series? Would link recognise the Temps etc?

JayGB1982
So I might as well get any AIO cooler? Are there any plans to enable multiple Hydro instances? eg It would b useful for dual CPU users as well. I Wanted to be able to control the fans on additional AIO dynamically. JayGB1982
So there is literally no point in getting the H80i version? over say the H70? Couldnt I connect it via the USB Link Dongle to it's own header?
JayGB1982
Can anyone confirm this is actually true?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 9, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 9, 2013 I have not seen any Dual CPU MB that our H-series coolers will fit on with out making a custom mounting bracket, so I agree it will not work and we have not tested a system using two coolers for that reason. Why would there be a need for a custom mounting bracket? Aren't the CPU sockets separate unto themselves? A standard bracket should fit on each. iWingers
I believe he was looking to use them to water cool a graphics card using a custom bracket. But was looking at seeing if the Corsair Link software would recognise two before he bought it.
JayGB1982
iWingers is right, I was looking to get a H80i to complement the H100i I already have but use the H80i on the GPU. Worst case is I can unplug the H100i use the Mobo Fan headers temporarily. Plug the H80i in and set it up in terms of Fan profile etc. Then restore the H100i back to as it was before. I see the H80i's are on a Sale at the moment with the Link Commander and Cooling kit thrown in. I would be prepared to "beta" test this if you like? Understand this is a very niche and unique way of configuring the Link and HXXi into a Corsair Link setup and am prepared to accept the fact that I may not be able to change the Fan speed or see the temp. Quick question. I recently got my PWM SP1200L's through RMA. Would the H80i need this done as well?

What about video cards that use a modded H80i?
Toasted
The Hydro Coolers which have been mounted on GPUS are custom made brackets.
iWingers
Yeah, he knows he's going to have order a custom bracket. But I think he wanted to know if the Link Software would even recognise two coolers before he took the dive and bought one/made a bracket
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 9, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 9, 2013 We have not tested a system running two coolers I have asked Cool Guy to chime in ASAP on this.
Corsair Employees COOL GUY Posted April 9, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 9, 2013 Yes, two I series Hydro series products would be recognized by the software. You will get all controlled devices from both in software. The only thing I want to point out is that without a Commander you will have to use two (or three) internal USB headers to attach all of the devices. The I series PSU that you have can be connected to one of the I series Hydro products. The second I series Hydro series would need to be connected to a separate USB header. If you made a custom USB plug you could use a single USB header on the motherboard as each device only used a single connection but a dual plug so that the device can not be plugged in backwards as a safety measure. iWingers
I think this is the information he was looking for COOL GUY. He was wanting to use Corsair's latest deal which is where you buy either an H100i or H80i, and get the Corsair Link Cooling kit for $10. So he will have a Commander to plug them into :) I'll let him know to take a look at the thread, as he's out and about for a couple of days.
