Regarding the H100i

Greetings everyone..!

I consider(ed) getting the H100i, but after reading this forum, and watching movies on youtube, it makes me worried about purchasing one... I previously had two H80s and a H100, and they both have the pump clicking noise so I ended up returning them for a Noctua cooler instead. And it's such a hassle to put everything together just to find out that you have to RMA it and wait forever to get another unit that MAY be faulty.

I have the impression that almost all of the H100i is faulty since, either about the LEDs, FANS, or the pump. I know it's easy to find people raging on the internet - but there's so many on the internet complaining.

My question is, can you actually go out - and purchase a unit (here in Denmark) and get home with a H100i that doesn't have any of those terrible problems..?

The H100i is perfect as long as you don't plan on controlling it via Corsair Link. That's where the main issues arise. (Or at least they have for me)

But on another thread you say

1.0.5 my H100i pump has begun to make "clicking" noises

It's kinda worrying :(:

Bearukun, if you pay attention to youtube or even ANY support forums you would never buy anything again. You can find bad reviews on just about ANY product .

Corsair sells tens of thousands of these units monthly and for 99% of the users that have these coolers they work as intended.

There is just no way of answering that. It would depend on if the places there have new stock or not and the only ones who would know that are the the shops themselves.

Mhm, but if I hadn't updated it's firmware it would've been fine. It's just the luck of the draw. I'm running an AMD FX8350 at 4.3Ghz and it's running at 18c idle in quite a warm room.

Thank you for your reply :)

It's just that I've had a H100 and two H80s and they were faulty.... And then when I'm reading on this forum, the problems still persist (Even with a new gen) and people can't get their units working at 100%. It's very hard to find positive things about the H-series on the internet - besides the review sites.. And as I said initially, I know that it's easy to find negative posts on the internet, and it's not my intent to start a drama war in here - it would just be nice with some kind of failure rate. I've always been glad for Corsair, but I've never been lucky with their H-series.

I live in Denmark and have had no real problems with mine.

I replaced the fans because i thought they were to noisy and thats all.

Them being noisy is just me wanting something more quiet.

Atm. the only problem i can think of is Corsair Link that prevent my harddrives from going into sleep.
