Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 2, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 2, 2013 Are you using the Link Commander? Try re flashing the cooler to 1.05, if that does not work, try using mini Type B to type A USB (http://ak1.ostkcdn.com/images/products/P12590091.jpg) to flash the cooler an see if that works. trex
No I'm not using link commander. i just got the usb cable that came with it and its plunged in to the usb header. when i try to flash it just keeps saying error loading firmware file. trex
i'll get hold of that cable and see if it makes a difference. but i don't think it will because the cooler is in my device list using this cable.
trex
yeah it made no difference.

Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted April 11, 2013 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 11, 2013 Let’s try this, stop Corsair Link Hardware monitor under task manager, close the SW then uninstall the software from the control panel including all the profiles, install the SW then go to Options and then click “Reset to defaults” then shutdown, unplug the USB connector, plug it back in to the same header or maybe try a different header, then turn on the system back on and flash the FW again to 1.05v and see if that makes a difference. Btw, do you have any other PC health/temp monitoring app, such PC probe, Fan Expert, etc.? If so, try to uninstall them, it may be that other app could be conflicting with Corsair Link. trex
nope still comes up as "ERROR loading firmware file!". im lost as to why it would be doing this... the pump comes up as HID-compliant device in device manager. so its not the connection. and i don't have any temp monitoring apps. HammerNL
Try unplugging every usb device connected to your pc, it's sometimes buggy when other devices are connected on boot.
wemdee
Do you flash it from inside of link, or just run the bootloader? I think you have to run it from link and not the bootloader. If it asks to "save the profile" hit cancel (not yes or no).

VeJLEXDK
It may be that your device is defective. Try changing the port that the cable is plugged into. If that still does not work, contact corsair here http://www.corsair.com/us/company/contact/
