Air Series AF140 and my 400R

Couple of quick questions -

 

I'd like to put a few AF140 fans in my Carbide 400R, but before I order them I'd like to know

 

1)What color are the mounting screws these fans come with? I'm assuming they're black but we all know about assuming things....

 

and more importantly

 

2)What do you guys/gals recommend for a fan configuration? At the moment I've got the standard 2 intake and 1 exhaust fan running and have added a spare 120 on the side panel; it's pulling air in over the top of the GPU. If I was going to put 2-4 new fans in this case, what would be ideal?

 

Oh, and if anyone can recommend good fan filters, that would be great too.

1 - They are black

 

2 - There is no "standard" answer for this, as each system will have different results. Given the set up, I'd make front and side intake and both top and rear exhaust. That is just me, you can always try different variation and compare result then go from there.

Thanks for the response. One last question -

 

I'm looking at the AF140s and while they're really sharp, I am on a bit of a budget. I was wondering if the CC800D-140MM or the CC-8930029 would also be okay for my purposes.

 

If not, that's no big deal as I can add the AF140s piecemeal.

The 800D 140mm fans should be a great alternative for this case. It does have a decent spec as well.

 

RPM = 900 +-150

CFM Max = 69

dBA Max = 17.9
