Hydro H100i high pitched pump noise

My pump also have the high pitched noise, and it is driving me mad....! It it definitely not the fans.

System is at stock speed in general, so no overclocking, and fans throughout the system is operating at minimum speeds of approx 470 - 650 rpm tho Graphicscard's fans are running at 1000 rpm. All in all a very silent system, except for the irritating high pitched noise same as many others describe. Corsair, I am willing to try whatever qualified suggestions you may have, though just don't start from A and end at Z (unless there's a really good point of doing that) in the book and waste a lot of time on both sides. :)

P.s. It seems the system is completely silent upon bootup, at least when starting up the system the first time of the day, meaning it seems the problem arises after a little while. I also read about others where the pump is silent to begins with, and the hight pitch noise comes after a while. I did not do a firmware update to 1.0.5 (am running 1.0.4) as the firmware update post said not to update if you did not specifially had fan noise issues, which I do not believe it is.

Here's hoping for a quick solution!

I just did an RMA from a H100 to a H100i They said it was the newer pump and they don't have give out the H100 anymore. So I installed it and I am also getting that whinning and or screeching noise. Just like the video Serg uploaded. But mines get louder when I am doing things on my computer. playing games, editing large files, and the loudest when I transfer files from drive to another drive. I don't think the H100i is any better with this screeching noise. It is really annoying. And it seems that many people are experiencing the same issue. I hope there will be another firmware that maybe help with this screeching. Because I just got this pump and it has the latest firmware.

Have you guys tried connecting the fans directly to the MB rather than the pump and see if the noise remains? and are you using 3pin fans or PWM fans?

noise comes from the pump, fans got a new PWM, the problem is not in fans :[pouts:

I just got this unit and do you mean the fan that came with the unit? Those I have connected with the pump. I can try to connect it to the board later today. I believe these fan came with 4pin connection.

RAM GUY, I see you're a good person and helped many people in the forum, and could not help me solve my problem with RMA. I am ready to provide all the necessary information to do so. I do not speak in English, and I find it difficult to fill all right. one more question, if I can get cooler first, so I can not be without a computer for a long time, if this is not possible, Well have to endure this irritating noise. :[pouts: I hope for your understanding and support!

Hey RAM GUY. Just did what you told me to. Unplugged the fan from the pump and connect it directly to the board. Good news is that it doesn't make that whining noise having it setup like that but it still make like a hissing scratching sound every now and then. What does this mean though? What is your opinion on this RAM GUY? And the pump was made to plug in the fan to it to control with the corsair link.

I'm a bit in doubt. It seems the pump is not just as annoying as it was before, but to be sure... how much is the pump supposed to say when running basically with an idle cpu? ie. as in me just visiting this forum, and typing this reply...? Cannot expect it to be completely silent can I? It is however still annoying...

P.s. RAM GUY, the fans that came with the pump is definitely not pwm / 4 pin... hmm cannot even remember how many pins it had, but not all of them for sure. Is it possible to have them RMA / replaced with the new PWM models I read you mentioned in another thread?
